This light marks the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea deep within the Church of The Holy Sepluchre in the Old City of Jerusalem. Some people think these tombs are the real resting place of Christ and the tombs have been dated to the 1st Century. All I know is there is a strange calm and stillness in this place. The ceilings are low and this candle is the only light, few visitors to the church enter this tiny chamber. Often when I am sitting there no one enters and I can sit and think. It is my favourite place among many in Jerusalem and when I return to the City it is my first stop and also my last before I leave.
