I’ve been taking pictures at one of only two surviving wool mills in the USA. This one is in Woolrich, Pennsylvania. I remembered Lee Friedlander’s book “Factory Valleys” a photo book I loved 25 years ago when I was a student and when I get home I am going to go to my parents house and find my copy which I’m ashamed to say is in a box in the garage. The reason for this is because when I had a fire in my apartment in 1993 all my books had the covers burnt off, but the books themselves are readable. It just can bring back bad memories to look at them normally, but I can’t throw them, so for many years the garage has been the compromise. Anyway lee is going to be saved this weekend when I get the the UK.
